Moyasu Mochi VS Markus Gorges

As Moyasu approaches the scene with a giddy trot. She pauses, hiding in one of the few intact shelters near the site of the robots collapse. She pulls out her lighter, and grins wickedly, watching Markus.

Near one of the shelters, a strange ball of fire rises. It quivers and hovers in the air, being held aloft and together by some unknown energy. It then rockets straight towards Markus and the robot, and as it impacts, it blows up into a furious tide of fire than would quickly consume the robot and probably anything else close by. Moyasu jumps out from the shelter, and grins as the smoke clears. "Did he burn?"

Markus hears the sizzling air of the fireball burns towards him. Reacting on instinct, he falls to his back, allowing the fireball to harmlessly pass over him, then quickly curls his legs and back up and pushes his hands into a backwards handspring, flinging himself a few feet away from the now burning robotic remains. He does one more backflip for good measure, before turning towards the direction the fireball came from. He sees the woman Moyasu holding her lighter, and looks confused. He was expecting a modified Molotov or a specialized flamethrower. He had no time to puzzle over this, saying, “What the hell, lady?! You could have killed me with that stunt. The robot has already been destroyed.” Even while saying this, he could see this was no accident, and he readied his body for further conflict.

As the machine goes up in flames, Moyasu releases a trembled sigh, her knee's buckling, and her normally sallow skin flush with red. As the bright fire lights up her face, a cavity on the left side of her forehead is apparent, an indent clearly denoting some kind of mutation. Her hand holding the lighter violently shakes as she ignites and re-ignites it. She murmurs, quietly at first,

"burn...burn...burn...BURN!" As she screams, a gout of flame erupts from the lighter, and she turns to Markus. "It's not very often I get to set a pure-blood on fire," she says as she licks her lips, "They never last long, but their screams are always the most beautiful." As if bent by some strange force, the gout of fire wraps itself into a sphere. "So, Mr. Gas mask, please do me just one favor.. try not to turn to ashes too soon, so I can enjoy your screams." The ball of exploding fire rockets at Markus.

Wasting no time, Markus quickly draws his guns from within his jacket. He gathers his strength and makes a leap into the air to avoid the fireball. Misjudging the size, however, licks of the flame catch his left boot and pant lag, quickly catching from the unnatural fire. He cursed himself as he bagan to feel the heat from the flame on his flesh. In the air, he aimed his firearms; the left at her lighter, the right at her chest, and pulled the triggers. “BAM!... click...” Markus looked confused as only his left gun fired off a shot. “Damn it! I forgot to reload my gun. How... amateur.” He landed on the ground on his left leg, as he wrapped his right leg around to try to put out the flames with the top of his boot and lower leg.

As Markus fires his gun, Moyasu dodges right, the bullet embedding into her arm. The pain on her face vanishes as she sees the fire on Markus left leg. She raises her palm to Markus, and the fire on his left leg starts to flare up, and begin to spread. And with her other arm, shaking and bleeding, she holds up the lighter, and another gout of flame pours from it. This time, the fire spins into a ring that is slowly surrounding the battlefield of debris the two are standing in.

Noting the quickly spreading flames on his leg, he does not hesitate to rip the flaming fabric from his pant leg and toss it aside, now leaving his leg bare up to his knee. He swivels his head back and forth, seeing that he is now surrounded by flame. He sighs, “It seems I’m going to lose this fire fight... Seems I better step it up!” He holsters his 0.50 Revolver back inside his jacket and dashed towards Moyasu, closing the distance to keep her from using her fire and take her down with superior close quarters combat. As he closed in, he sets off the spring lock in his sleeve-concealed blade, then swinging the blade towards her lighter while aiming his gun for a shot to the thigh.

All of a sudden a serpentine creature bursts out of a nearby sewer pipe. Its body is long and scaly and covered with a thick opaque mucus that oozes off of it in a snail-like trail. The creatures snout appears long and hairy and is adorned with unusual wide ears. The creature possesses two long forelegs that it uses to drag its slender frame across the ground aided by the natural lubricant that it constantly excretes. Around its neck is a tight collar plainly labeled Mk 2, every now and again the reptile tugs at the collar with irritation before continuing to slither forward with its long spindly arms. The beast slithers towards Moyasu and lets out a hideous mixture between a hiss and a growl. Suddenly the seemingly sluggish monster extends its long arms and slashes at Moyasu with its decrepit talons.

As both Markus and the Serpentine chimera are moving towards Moyasu, she leaps back, and as she does, the wall from her Ring of Fire contorts, and moves to meet her, engulfing Moyasu in the flame. Inside the outer wall of the Ring of Fire, the flames surround her, but only the occasional fire licks her. A flame wraps around the bullet wound on her right arm, cauterizing it immediately, and as it does Moyasu shudders in pure delight. From her fiery veil, she tosses the lighter to Markus. "How do you like your chimera steaks Mr. Gas-mask? I prefer mine well done."

From the opposite end of the Ring of Fire, a ball of flame forms..

"This isn't going well." Markus thinks to himself. He positions himself between the Serpent and the forming ball of fire, firing pot shots at Moyasu as she hides in her flames. He loosens his jacket as he prepares to make his move, loading a black bullet into his gun...

The serpentine beast backs off from Moyasu. It coils up tightly and starts to slow down to a stop. Its skin hardens and turns a dull brown forming a hardened carapaces. Suddenly the shell cracks in certain regions along the monster's body forming segmented scaly plates that overlap one another. It then proceeds to slither back towards Moyasu undaunted by the searing flames.

Moyasu sprints around her own Ring of Fire, and at the same time, so does the ball of fire. Both her and the fireball barely distinguishable in the now growing wall. All of a sudden, a ball of flame rockets out of one side of the Ring, and after hardly a moment another from the opposite side, aimed at Markus and the chimera respectively.

The chimera is knocked a bit back by the kinetic force of the fireball and shakes with some discomfort yet it does not appear burnt. The most the flame did was scorch the external carapaces yet despite the black mark the serpent continues its advance with little to no heed of the flaming wall. As it grows closer and the heat increases the plates enclosing the serpent clamp down and the creases in its armor are firmly closed.

Markus gives a sly smile as he steps forward and fires his gun, causing a plume of smoke to erupt within the ring. His dodge didn't seem to be enough, as his jacket catches on the fireball. He quickly shirks off the jacket and tosses it to the edge of the ring, saying, "Here, you can have this." It's soon apparent why, as dozens of explosive, acid, and smoke rounds, not to mention hundreds of bullets, go off, making his jacket a large fragmentation grenade. He dives to the ground and covers his head with his arms.

As the numerous variety of explosives and projectiles go off next to the serpent if lets out a garbled scream somewhere between a human woman and a chimpanzee. The chimera's shell melts from the acid and the kinetic force of the explosive shatter the remainder of its carapaces. The remains of the mutant snake quickly catch fire and burn until nothing but a charred husk remains.

The flames from Ring of Fire flare up for a brief few moments, before Moyasu is seen clearly visible, her side riddled with holes, and a portion of her face and eyelid melted from the acid. She quivers and bleeds for a moment, before slowly cocking her head. Through a voice choked with pain and tears she says, "Anymore toys left gas-mask? No..?" She spits blood to the side. All of a sudden, the fire surrounding the battlefield converges on Moyasu. The twisting fires conform to her shape, creating an outer layer of flaming skin.

The humanoid pillar of flame takes a step towards Markus, and levels a palm, a glowing ball of fire forms.

Shaking his head, he begins to unbutton his vest. "Only one. Or, more like, one hundred." He flares open his vest, showing about 100 knives that are stored within. Reaching inside, he grabs four for each hand, throwing them all at Moyasu. His right arm is shaking, as it too is burned from fire and acid, but his left arm stays completely still and trained, despite having the same amount of abuse.

As the knives impact with the layer of fire, they are caught in it, and begin to quickly melt. The handles fall uselessly to the ground. The glowing ball of fire expands out into a large cone of flame aimed directly at Markus. A pained voice, intermittently interrupted by coughing screams, "BURN! BURN! DIE! SCREAM! BURN!."

Markus steps back, momentarily stunned, as his knives melt before the pillar of flame. Only as the cone of fire is within arm's reach, does he move, dodging the flames as best he can. Not fast enough, his left arm is grasped by the torrent, causing even more burns. Unfazed, he runs around Moyasu, drawing his last gun, a Thompson Center G2, with his left hand. "Be the killing shot you're meant to be, or this is the end for both of us." He kisses the side of the gun before aiming it at Moyasu's head and pulling the trigger, sending out a resilient drill-shaped bullet ripping through the air.

A shriek of pain erupts from Moyasu, and the humanoid pillar of fire sinks to its knee's, the fire converging and expanding to create a thick protective dome of fire around the kneeling figure. The dome trembles for a moment, before fireballs begun erupting out of its sides as the shrieks rise, and the dome momentarily quivers anxiously as the fall. Followed by a thick breathing.

Markus raises his hands to block his face from any fire as he tries his best to evade any aimed his way. "Did that do it?"

The dome of fire around Moyasu quivers anxiously as her shrieks fall. And for a moment, besides the crackling of fire, there is complete silence. A loud shriek follows this up, screaming at the top of her blood and smog chocked lungs, "BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURN!". The dome of fire expands rapidly in every direction, and for only a moment, it engulfs a massive 500 yard diameter...

[Cryatonic]

Markus blocks his face once more, having to endure the inescapable flames for a few seconds. After the dome dissipates, he rushes into patting out the burning clothes left behind on his body, forcing him to remove his gas mask. He coughs as the unfiltered, smoky air is breathed in, but quickly recovers. He takes out four of his knives and walks over to Moyasu cautiously. "Did that bitch finally get bit by her own flames?" He winces as he realizes the full scope of his burns: third degree burns all over his limbs and torso. He staggers slightly as he approaches her.

Moyasu lies on the ground face first. Her breathing comes in ragged and labored gasps, and she bleeds from multiple wounds on her sides. Her skin, and even clothing almost untouched from the fire. The indent on her forehead is slowly pouring blood from veins that have since popped. She raises her head slowly to Markus, "Maybe... we talk it out?" She says, barely coughing it out. She spits blood. "Friend.. I have.. friend, watching.."

[Cryatonic]

"A friend? Who?" Markus looks around at the surrounding landscape, searching for another individual. "And why did you attack me? Tell me now."

She coughs, and sputters, "Six.."

Nearby, a large piece of charred debris is tossed aside, and a Caucasian man in a navy green uniform rises from it, coughing. He shoots a glare at Moyasu, his lips curling as if he's about to say something. He takes a deep breath, and turns to Markus. "It will be explained later. She's in no condition to be interrogated, and, judging from those burns, your in no condition to be interrogating." The man raises his empty palms as he speaks, "Calm down, deep breaths. I'm going to get you some medical attention, so put the knife down."
